I stayed in a glamping tent at East Zion Resort during my 5-day Road Trip to Utah/ Arizona, and it is everything you could ever want and more! I highly recommend this stay if you’re looking for the ultimate Utah getaway. It’s the perfect way to experience the great outdoors, while still enjoying the perks of a resort. They also offer other lodging options for every type of traveler - yurts for a little more luxury, tiny homes, and treehouses!

Since it’s a newer resort, many people still don’t know about it, so I want to share this hidden gem with you. There are countless reasons why you should book a stay at East Zion Resort, but here are my top 3…

1. Location, Location, Location

East Zion Resort is located in Orderville, Utah, about 30 minutes from the east entrance of Zion National Park. For reference, most people who visit Zion stay in Springdale, which is near the west entrance of the park. Although Springdale is close to the main Zion entrance, I found it to be further from all the other parks I visited on my trip. Orderville is a great basecamp since it’s central to Zion (25-50 minutes), Kanab (30 minutes), Bryce (1 hour) and Page (1.5 hours). Another fun thing about where EZR is located is that if you’re coming into town from California or Nevada, you’ll likely have to drive the Mt. Carmel Highway through Zion, which is a gorgeous drive!

2. Outstanding Amenities

These glamping tents are equipped with everything you’ll need on your trip, and you can tell they really put thought into the details. One thing that makes EZR tents stand out from others in the area is that they each have an air conditioner and heater. This makes a huge difference when visiting Utah as it can get really hot in the summer and cold in the winter. In addition to the beautiful views, here are just some of the amenities included in their glamping tents…

  • AC/ heater

  • Propane grill

  • Fire pit complete with sticks for roasting marshmallows!

  • Outdoor seating in patio

  • Microwave

  • Refrigerator

  • Hair Dryer

  • Hot plate for cooking

  • Pool/ jacuzzi on the property and also provide pool towels

3. Unparalleled Service

From the moment I booked my stay, the hosts at EZR were always happy to answer any questions I had. They also sent a detailed email with my confirmation, which included recommendations on where to stop for food and groceries.

Once at the resort, they respected our privacy and let us enjoy our trip, but never hesitated to ask us if we needed anything when they passed by us outside.

You won’t regret choosing to stay at East Zion Resort next time you visit Southern Utah. I can’t wait to go back!
